Lane C. Hilton is an attorney at the boutique business law firm, Robberson Schroedter LLP, where her practice focuses on bankruptcy, insolvency, and complex business litigation.

Ms. Hilton regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as in bankruptcy adversary proceedings, including matters involving dischargeability, fraudulent transfers, and other contested issues. She also represents debtors in Chapter 11 and Subchapter V reorganizations, advising clients through all phases of the restructuring process.

Ms. Hilton’s litigation practice comprises of commercial business litigation and complex business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, negligence, trade secret misappropriation, and other business torts.

Ms. Hilton began her legal career defending multifaceted civil cases, where she represented some of the largest developers and general contractors in San Diego and on the West Coast, as well as prominent hospitals and healthcare providers throughout Southern California. Ms. Hilton also has significant experience handling other tort actions including transportation, personal injury, and premises liability. This background informs her practical, litigation-oriented approach to both contested bankruptcy matters and complex commercial disputes.

She is actively involved in the legal community and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the California Bankruptcy Forum. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum and is Co-Chair of the Legislation Subcommittee of the Insolvency Law Committee of the California Lawyers Association.
